Ningbo Shijie New Energy Technology Co. Ltd., founded in 2009, mainly focuses on the design, production and sale of high-performance lithium ion batteries. The company has installed a series of advanced battery equipments for mass production, and has successfully developed and produced several different types of batteries with the nominal capacities of 2 to 200 Ah (using LiFePO4-, LiMn2O4-, LiNixCoyMnzO2-based cathodes). All of the products exhibit high energy density, long cycle life, good safety and excellent rate capability, and surpassed the national testing standards (QC/T743-2006). The main market includes large-scale electrical energy storage, UPS, electric vehicles, electric tools, electric bicycles and portable electronic devices, etc.
Shijie New Energy has a very strong R&D team with experts on material sciences, mechanical design, electrochemistry and battery manufacturing, and the team is currently LED by Dr. Zhang who worked at Universityof California, Santa Barbara and joined the company in 2012. The R&D center is equipped with a series of advanced characterization and testing instruments such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) specific surface area, thermal gravimetric analyzer (TGA), laser particle size analyzer (LPSA), electrochemical workstation, etc.
So far, Shijie New Energy has applied 15 Chinese patents on the know-how of producing high-performance lithium ion batteries. More importantly, due to the outstanding R&D capability, the company has successfully applied a top-one research project from the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (' 863' Program), and will explore the R&D of batteries for low-cost, large-scale electrical energy storage.
