Properties: MIBK is a kind of colorless, transparent, flammable liquid with camenthol odor. It is soluble in water, alcohol, benzene and aether, its steam is heavier than air. Flash point: (degrees celsius): 16, boiling point (degrees celsius): 114, firing point (degrees celsius): 460, density(d20g/cm3): 0.8.
Applications: It is mainly used as a solvent for paint of resins and nitrated cotton and high grade paint for cars, ships, etc.
