Customer's requirements: Mini lab granulator size - not larger than length 1000 mm, width 500 mm, height 500 mm (the smaller the better) weight - not greater than 100 Kg (the lighter the better) input material not larger than 75 mm output material powder (like flouer, the finer the better) customized power Customer's Concerns:     - The control panel is not mounted to the machine.  Depending on the intensity of the machine the more sensitive electrical components might be subject to vibrations that create weak connections inside. The control panel will be mounted to an individual steel plate which attached with the granulator - What is the actual granulation mechanism? Blades? Are there stationary blades to create shearing action? Yes, blades. There is no stationary blades but only hammer knives, chains.          - The unit is to be used for scientific analysis and the biggest concern is contamination of samples.  Everything from the feed hopper, the granulation chamber, and the collection drawer all need to be completely and thoroughly cleaned after each use. Yes, it can be opened for cleaning. It's simple and only take few minutes. The coarse powder can be cleaned manually and fine powder can be removed by the vacuum cleaner. You could disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the top and clean this section. - Can this unit be opened to perform such cleaning? YES - Is this operation efficient and ergonomic? YES - Are the materials used very porous or rough and likely to be difficult to remove fine powders from? No - Are you buying this from a 3rd party or fabricating it yourselves? We build it by ourselves. - What is the maintenance like? The maintenance is very simple. It depends on how often you use it/ how many tons material you process. - How often would blades need to be replaced? Normally it could last for one year. - How long will it take to do so? How much do they cost? It takes 0.5~1 hour for an operator to replace them and cost is around $800. - What about maintenance on the screen? How often/how long/what cost? We'll offer you two screens so that you could still use the granulator while you are cleaning the one. The screen could last for half an year and take 10 minutes & $200 to replace the screen. Attached mini granulator inside structure shows how the screen can be replaced. - Can different screen sizes be used for different output particle sizes? Yes. However, you should also adjust the VFD in order to get different output particle sizes.
