Modal test and analysis is used to estimate modal parameters of a structure from the measurement data.
The modal parameters, which including natural frequency, damping ratio, mode shape and modal participation factor, reveal the dynamic characteristics of structures well.
Modal test and analysis has become a very important means for design, manufacture and maintenance in the field of aviation, spacefilght, vehicle, civil building, structural engineering, etc.
With a development of three decade years, great progress has been achieved in the modal test and analysis. It has been widely applied to dynamic design, vibration and noise reduction, vibration control, condition monitoring, fault detection, model updating, model validation, and so on.


NTI-MODAL MODAL ANALYSIS SOFTWARE
NTI-Modal is New-generation Modal analysis software developed by Nanjing Testing Instrumentation Inc...It consists of three main functional modules:
NTI-Modal ODS, time domain ODS and frequency domain ODS are included. Time domain ODS is designed for replaying the time history of the structure, while frequency domain ODS is designed for displaying the vibration pattern at a specified frequency.
NTI-Modal EMA, designed for modal analysis of engineering structures with both input (excitation) and output (response) data. It works well in the modal test excited by single/multiple shakers, or hammer impact test with single/multiple references.
NTI-Modal OMA, designed for modal analysis of large and complicated structures in operation with only output (response) data.

English and Chinese versions are available, and other language version can be developed rapidly
Consists of the following main funcional modules: Geometry modeling, project management, dynamic singal processing, modal prarmeters identification, time domain ODS (Operational Deformation Shape), frequency domain ODS, and MAC (Modal Assurance Criterion) estimation / visualization
Interactively geometry modeling functions to create and modify geometry conveniently, to import IGES or UFF format geometry easily
The data can be excitation and response time series directly measured via DAQ (Data Acquisition System), or Frequency Response Function (FRF) and Coherence Function (COH) in frequency domain
Perfectly display and control of two-dimentional curves and three-imentional graphics (geometry, mode shape animation, and modal MAC)
Function of data copy, screen copy, saving curves to JPG files, saving animations to AVI files, and so on, provide users with the privilledge of rapidly report and presentation creation
With flexible interface arrangement, abundant mouse and shortcut keys operation, greatly improve work efficiency
Developed in the Microsoft's Visual C++ language development enviroment, making use of the technology of Object Oriented Program, easy to be maintained and extended
