The cable panel short-circuit/grounding fault indicator consists of display, grounding fault detection sensor and three short-circuit fault detection probes. The display is installed on the operating panel of the cabinet body, the grounding fault detection probe is installed in the three-core cable, and the short-circuit fault detection probes are installed in the three-phase outgoing line respectively. The display is connected with the detection probes with four optical fiber cables respectively, which realizes optoelectronic isolation and accordingly ensures safety.

When there is a short-circuit fault or grounding fault occurs in the line, the relevant short-circuit alarm light or grounding light of the display I will flicker continuously, while the liquid crystal display II will show the fault phase and cable, such as "A-B" short circuit, " A-C" short circuit, " B-C" short circuit, " A-E" grounding, "B-E" grounding, "C-E" grounding. The actuation of its internal relay opens and closes normally close contact. When pressing reset button or the set reset time comes, the alarm light will go out, the normally contact will open, the normally open contact will open, and the indicator will return to normal condition.
