1. Brief introduction:
Vinblastine sulfate is a kind of antitumor activity alkaloid extracted from catharanthus roseus, which is an apocynaceae plant. It can restrain the polymerization of tubuline, disturb the formation of proliferative cell spindle microtubule and stop mitosis at the metaphase. It can also affect cell membrane and disturb the transfer of amino acid to restrain protein synthesis and RNA synthesis. With wide antitumor spectrum, vinblastine, at the dosage of 0.05~0.1mg/kg, has obvious antitumor activity against mouse L1210 leukemia, Ehrilich's ascites carcinoma, S180 and C3H mouse spontaneous and metastatic breast cancer, and can restrain the growth of BeWo transplanted in hamster buccal pouch.

10. Indications:
It is mainly used for cure of solid tumors. It has good curative effect against malignant lymphoma, testiculoma and choriocarcinoma, and has some curaive effect against lung cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, skin cancer, nephroblastoma and monocyte leukemia. As a plant source antitumor medicine, it has little side effect.
