Meniscus lenses are used to decrease the focal length (positive meniscus) or increase the focal length(negative meniscus lens) of another lens while maintaining the angular resolution of the optical assembly. These lenses are commonly used to achieve tighter beam focusing when paired with another positive lens. Boxin provide plano-concave lenses of many materials, such as N-BK7, UV fused silica, SF,CaF2, MgF2, ZnSe, ZnS, and so on.
