Distribution automation is the most direct and effective technical method to improve the reliability of power distribution system. Feeder automation is an important component part of distribution automation system.
The mode of "reclose and sectionalizer", which adopted in the system, is one of the main methods of feeder automation. By this means, the functions of condition inspecting, fault detecting, fault isolating and power resuming of distribution line can be fulfilled just by the cooperation of intelligent switches on the feeding line. At the same time, states of every switch in the distribution system can be inspected by the supervisor, and the functions of "remote controlling, remote signaling, remote measuring and remote adjusting" can be fulfilled by the mains of communication.
The main feature of our FA system as follows:
1. Fault current can be cut off by the reclose.
2. By the use of timing cooperation among the intelligent switches, trouble range can be isolated on the spot without communicating with upper monitoring computer, and power supply to the faultless ranges of power line can be resumed automatically in a short time.
3. By the mains of communication, states of every switch in the distribution system can be inspected by the supervisor, and the functions of "remote controlling, remote signaling, remote measuring and remote adjusting" can be fulfilled by the mains of communication.
4. Obtaining power supply from the power line, need no additional power supply.
5. Imported high quality programmable controller is adopt in the FTU(Feeder terminal unit), which meet the demand of industrial level and can continuously operate more then 20 years. The controller have high reliability because it was designed to have high resistance to fierce electromagnetic disturbance caused by over-voltage, thunderbolt, high frequency signal and strong magnetic field.
6. Reclosing can be prohibited when the reclose detect that there is fault unhealed on the power line.
7. Having the instantaneous fault resolution, high sensitivity of earthing current inspection, trouble resolving.
8. The controller and control interface of the upper monitor computer is designed to operate conveniently.
9. Convenient for constructing communicate network and easy to expand.
