PVC PROCESSING AIDS B-23
1 Introduction
The addition of PVC processing aids B-23 to rigid PVC formulations is a processing aid based on a high molecular weight polymethacrylate resin. PVC PROCESSING AIDS B-23 improves the processability and the performances of PVC formulations.
2 Performance
(1) PVC PROCESSING AIDS B-23 promote gelation of PVC, Improve hot-melt strength and visco-elasticity, Stabilize the microcells generated by blowing agents to achieve the low density and high strength of the foam. Increase the surface quality of PVC products.
(2) Better dispersion of additives into PVC, more homogenous melt of PVC, etc. B-23 has been used in weatherable applications and is widely used in PVC building products.
3 Application
PVC PROCESSING AIDS B-23 are mainly used in PVC profiles, foam pipe, foam profiles, foam sheet, wood composites, etc.
Addition levels for this application are 5-8 phr(PVC 100 phr).
4 Properties
PVC PROCESSING AIDS B-23 is White fluid powder, banked specific gravity: 0.45-0.55g/cm3, can not be dissolved in water, ethanol, can be dissolved in chloroform and methyl ethyl ketone.
