Properties:
This packing is braided from Ramie, an extremely strong and water-resistant natural
fibre. It also contains a high level of PTFE due to a comprehensive impregnation
process. This ensures high density and low friction performance.
Applications:
BPG 2586 is ideal for all water pump application, but is also widely used in plunger pumps for
high-pressure water applications. It can be used in refiners, mills, plunger pumps, stern tubes,
cooling water, waste water and sewage treatment etc.

This packing can be used with application in Cold water, drinking water, sea water, warm
water, solutions containing solid particles, oils, greases, solvents, foodstuffs etc.
Certificate:
This packing is certified by the Fraunhofer-Institute for process engineering and packaging as
suitable for use in food processing machinery according to FDA US 21 CFR 170.3 (i) and to
article 3 of the EU directive 1935/2004.
