Shangtongsiu Medicated Spray is developed by the Research Center of
Guangzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine University and produced by Oriental
Materia Inc. A multi-purpose, non-toxic and non-allergic product suitable
for both family use and clinical treatment. Shangtongsiu uses the best
ingredients and the newest pharmaceutical production and is the only
Chinese medicine product that meets the Production Inspection Standard.
There are many traditional external use Chinese medicine products for
rheumatism, palsy, pain, injury etc, but mostly are NOT suitable for skin
with open wound. Furthermore, none of the generally available product is
proved to be an effective clinic medicine for curing bedsore, parenchyma
damage and infection. Shangtongsiu Medicated Spray has all these qualities
combined and therefore has important clinical significance.
Shangtongsiu Medicated Spray original prescription was available only at
hospital under the traditional name of Shuangbosan (SBS). Shuangbosan. It
was developed with 30 years of clinical practice and trials by well-reputed
Chinese medical professor Prof. Huang Yaoxi. Shuangbosan was widely used in
surgery and abdominal surgery, and its effectiveness was proven on parenchyma damage, fracture, sore, ulcer and swelling, acute appendicitis, pelvic
inflammation, and pleurisy.
In 1987, Guangzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine University started research
with the support of and sponsored by Natural Science Fund of Guangdong
Provincial Scientific Committee. Shangtongsiu went through many clinical
trials, experiments and developments before receiving the approval by State
Medicine Administration Bureau on January 12th, 2001.

for and good at skin permeation and absorption, non- toxic, non-stimulation
and easy to use, especially it has overall effective rate of 95.92% for the treatment of bedsore.
