Uses:
(1) For the production of sodium hydrosulfite, oxalic acid and formic acid.
(2) Sodium formate was broken down into hydrogen and sodium oxalate after intense heat, which can be used for chemical analysis reagents to determine levels of arsenic and phosphorus. And also used as a disinfectant, mordant and so on.
(3) Sodium formate is the intermediates for production of formic acid and oxalic acid. And also for the production of dimethyl formamide, etc.
(4) In leather industry, chrome tanning method in camouflage acid; For the stability of synthetic catalysts and agents.
(5) In printing and dyeing industry, Sodium formate is the reducing agent.
(6) Sodium formate is also used for the road slippery agent, cement antifreeze, completion fluids, drilling fluid.
