MSSI has been selected as a supplier for the Yamal LNG project, a major contract to supply critical process modules to one of the world's largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects. A consortium of Technip, Japan Gasoline Corporation (JGC) and Chiyoda are executing this project. The project owners are Novatek Russia, France Total, and China National Petroleum Corp. Muyang Steel Structure was chosen for its high capacity, modular fabrication capability, safety and quality standards and previous track record of successful project delivery. MSSI will deliver structural steel for some of the largest LNG modules ever built, accelerating project construction and minimizing the client's time to commercial operation.
Not to be misled by Oil & Gas works, MSSI has completed residential and commercial projects and bids high-rise, low-rise, hotels, department stores, etc. In 2014, MSSI won the 8,000-ton High-Rise PNGC Office complex from Jakarta-based Naima/Mulia Group. This structure is an ALL-bolted, seismic-moment-friction-connected structure, subject to the tolerances allowed by AISC. Several Chinese vendors, who competed to provide an ALL-welded high-rise structure, abandoned the project when asked to provide an ALL-bolted solution. Only MSSI has passed auditing for this supply and has since build Zero-Tolerance Column Jigs to ensure repeated accuracy in the structural erection process.
