Grey fabric which is also called greige fabric or greige goods is the term used for fabrics before they are printed, piece-dyed, printed or bleached. The quality of greige goods can vary and thus, can affect the outcome of the dye or print job and overall "hand" of the fabric purchased at the retail or garmet-manufacturing level. Greige goods is the common name for fabrics that are taken direkt from the weaven or knitting machine. They are not given any finishing what so ever.
