Total Aflatoxins rapid test strip
1. Introduction
Aflatoxins are secondary metabolites of the fungi species Aspergillus flavus, parasiticus and nomius. Aflatoxins belong to the strongest natural occurring carcinogenic substances, commonly found in corn, peanuts, cotton seed, human blood and animal feed.
The sensitivity is 10 ppb.
2. Equipment required but not provided
1 blance: 0.01g quantity sensitive
2 Beaker, measure glass, dropper, pipette pipette
3 Muller, separatory funnel
3. Sample preparation
Feed or Grain
1. Crumble 5 g sample and pass sieve(aperture: 841μm), then weight 2 g sample to tube. Add 4 mL pure water and 4 mL Ethyl Acetate, shake for 5 min. After being static or Centrifuge at above 4000 r/min, take 2 mL supernatant to beaker. Blow to dry by Electric blower.
2. Based on detection limit, add suitable water as below table. After dissolving fully, take for assay.
Edible Oil
1. Weigh 2 g sample in small beaker, then transfer the sample to separatory funnel with 8 mL N-hexane by several times. Add 3 mL pure water and shake for 3 minutes. Remove upper layer(N-hexane), then add 4 mL Ethyl Acetate, shake for 3 min. After being static or Centrifuge at above 3000 r/min, take 2 mL supernatant to beaker. Blow to dry by Electric blower.
2. Based on detection limit, add suitable water as below table. After dissolving fully, take for assay.

4 Operation procedures
1. Balance the sample and cassette to room temperature.
2. Open a package and take out the test cassette.
3. Drop 3-4 drops of sample in the Sample collect region.
Note: Do not drop the sample directly to the test result region. It will affect the result.
4. Wait for 10-15 min to read the result. (It's not valid in other times)
5 Test Result Interpretation
1. Negative: Red T line appears.
2. Positive: Red T line is invisible.

6 Precaution
1. Every test cassette and dropper is single use only. Please do not reuse.
2. Avoid sunshine and wind when using.
3. Water, distilled water or organic solvent can't be used for Negative control.
4. The test kit is only for lab reference that we can't be responsible for results.
7. Storage and expiry date
Storage: Store at 4-30 degree in dark
Expiry date: 12 months; Date of production is on box.
