Product Description
1. General Description
This material used on cargo tanks in LNG ships as heat insulation. The cargo tanks in LNG ships are double-shelled so that the outer layer of the cargo tanks shall be protected by high-performance heat insulation materials to prevent the leakage of LNG and protect the hull. High-performance heat insulation materials are applied to control the volatilization speed of LNG and the thermal expansion and contraction caused by the change of temperature so that the hull structure will not be damaged by cargo tanks and low temperature. Meanwhile, the evaporation of LNG in the process of transport will be reduced; The daily evaporation rate will be controlled below 0.15%; Therefore, the safety and economic of LNG in the process of storage and transportation will be ensured.
Glass wool has lots of excellent properties, such as lightweight, thermal insulation, acoustic insulation, damping and shock absorption, high filtration efficiency, fire resisting, anti-erosion, good elasticity, and so on. It is widely used in national defense, petrochemical, metallurgical, construction, refrigeration, transportation and other sectors. It's an excellent insulation and sound-absorbing material for pipeline, storage tank, boiler, heat exchanger, fan and travel and other industrial equipment and various buildings.
The glass wool produced by Pusen is comprised of high quality glass fiber, which doesn't irritate skin. It can be made into various shapes easily. Pusen has 22 years of production history for glass wool products since they were launched in 1992. Glass wool products cover various insulation materials used for civil ships, naval ships and LNG carriers with a density range from 20 to 80 kg/m3 and a thickness range from 25 to 100 mm. The annual output of glass wool has been 300 000 m3. It has passed the approval of GTT, CCS, LR, NK, ABS, and EC. We have two types of products, D22 and D32, which are used in the insulation zones of LNG carriers. D22 and D32 both have passed the approval of GTT, ABS and LR.

(PSFRMC) was established in 1976.It was rsformed to be a joint-stock company in 1998.PSFRMC at present has200 employees .PSFRMC has an annual production capacity of more than 8000 tons now. In 1999 PSFRMC got the IS09000 approval certificate for its quality system .The main products of PSFRMC are BAIYUN series of thermal insulation , heat insulation and fire-resistingmaterials , including aluminum silicate wool ,irradiation proof glass fiber, rock wool and mineral wool for ships . The products made from the above-mentioned are plates , pipes, carpets, felts, casing pieces, ropes and valve casings, flange casings ,etc.
The products of PSFRMC have been inspected and tested by National Fire Bureau,the Far East Fire Testing Center ,Shanghai Architecture Institute, Nanjing Glass Fiber Research and Design Institute, Navy Medicine Institute, China Aeroplane Manufacture Research Institute, Shanghai Communication University and Zhejiang University for several times andthe results show that the qualities of these products have reached and surpassed the requirements of the National Standards . The products have got the industrial productslicenses of China Navy ,CCS, China Nuclear Power, China Power, the Construction Industry,the Metallurgy Industry and the Chemical Industry . The products have been approved by the leading classification societies in the world and have got the certificates of CCS, DNV, ABS, LR, GL, BV, EC and NK.PSFRMC played an important role in the drafting and establishing of the national standards for this industry.
In 1999 thePS-2 mineral wool developed by PSFRMC got the national patent of (99116741.4) .In the same year , this product was approved by the Armament Department of China Navy and it got the Third Prize for Progress in Science and Technologyawarded by China Navy. In2000, the light A30 fire bulkhead was approved for Progress inScience and Technology awarded by China Navy . In 2002 the light A30 fire bulkhead wasapproved by the Armament Department of China Navy and it got the Third Prize for Progress in science and Technology awarded by China Navy. In2002 the environment-friendly PS-5 Radiation proof non-alkali glass wool insulation material for nuclear-powered submarines& nuclear power stations was developed .This product passed the approval ,which was organized by Zhejiang Scienae & Technology Department , of the committee consisting of experts from Macromolecule Institute of Zhejiang University, Materials Science and Engineering Department of Zhejiang University, Nanjing class FiberResearch and Design Institute ,Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute, Biology Department of Zhejiang Science and Technology College, the Second Phase of Qinshan Nuclear Power Station (the Fifth Installing Company of China Nuclear Industry), Zhejiang Technical Physics Application Institute and Wuhan 719 Institute of CSIC.
PSFRC has been working together with enterprises belonging to Zhejinang University for the nation-class LNG ship project. Ultra low temperature polyurethane and ultra lowtemperature glass wool products have been developed, which have been approved by GTT and ABS.
