Urban Domestic Waste Water Treatment
Urban domestic waste water, which means waste water produced in human daily life and mainly concludes excrement and washing wastewater, is one of major sources of pollution in water. The quantity of urban domestic waste water is closely related with living standard. Normally, higher living standard means bigger waste water quantity. In the domestic waste water, there are organics such as cellulose, starch, sugar, fat, and protein, etc.; Organisms such as pathogenic bacteria, virus, and parasitic ovum; And also inorganics such as chloride, sulfate, phosphate, bicarbonate, and also ions like Na, K, Ca, Mg, etc.
Normal treatment technical process of urban domestic waste water is divided into 3 stages: Chemical coagulation-based first-stage treatment; Biochemical process-based second-stage treatment; And physical method-based third (advanced) -stage treatment. Generally speaking, waste water after first-stage treatment (including other advanced first-stage treatment based on other technology) can hardly reach discharge standard. Waste water after second-stage treatment can reach discharge standard in most cases; While the purpose of third-stage treatment is recycle instead of discharge.
