Product Description

CTYC has been engaging in R & D of methanol synthesis technology and its catalyst for 35 years. The catalyst has been widely used in more than 90 sets of methanol synthesis plants utilizing natural gas/ coal/coke oven gas/residual oil/ refinery gas, etc as feedstock, among which, 38 sets with production capacity of 600~3000 tons per day. XNC-98 type methanol synthesis catalyst is characterized by unique zinc-aluminum spinel as carrier, lesser crystal form and optimum distribution of copper, thus, it has better comprehensive performance.

· Excellent activity & higher selectivity at low temperature
XNC-98 methanol synthesis catalyst has excellent performances that enable it to have good activity at the low temperature of 210--220º C. This means the catalyst service life is much longer as well as one furnace of catalysts for more methanol products. XNC-98 catalyst is of good selectivity and thereby reduces the formation of side products over service life.

· Excellent activity stability and long service life
Smaller crystal form and optimum distribution of copper make XNC-98 catalyst better activity and heat resistance, the catalyst therefore has longer service life. At present, catalyst service life is normally 2-4 years. The fine methanol output per cubic metre of catalyst has exceeded 3000 tons. For example, one typical 2000 Mt/day methanol plant reaches 105% design output at operation temperature of 285º C
& loads of 100% when the catalysts have been running for 20 months.
Suitable for different kinds of methanol synthesis reactor, such as shell- tubular isothermal type, quenching type, CASALE uniform-temperature water-cooled type and uniform-temperature gas-cooled type (horizontal), Linde uniform-temperature water-cooled type.

   — Partial oxidation of coal and other hydrocarbons compound
   — Steam reforming of natural gas, coke oven gas and naphtha

XNC-98 catalyst can also be used in fresh feedstock containing CO 10--30% and CO2 1--13%, and it can ensure very high conversion rate.
