Beijing Hotgen Biotech Co., Ltd was founded in 2005, It is a national-level high-tech company dedicated to the development and manufacturing of innovative in vitro diagnostic (IVD), point-of-care-testing (POCT), biodefense and food safety monitoring products.

Hotgen Biotech is one of the 100 nationally fastest growing enterprises and has undertaken several provincial and national level research projects including National 863 Project.

With 20 patents in hand, Hotgen Biotech is the only company in the world that utilizes Up-converting Phosphor Technology (UPT) for the rapid diagnostic purpose.

Hotgen Biotech has vastly expanded its product portfolio during the past decade to covering instruments and kits for aiding diagnosis in cardiovascular diseases, liver diseases, tumor markers, etc. With the UPTtest Line of POCT kits based on UPT being especially popular among the customers.

The UPTquik Biodefense and food safety monitoring products have been widely used among military, customs, CDCs, and public health facilities for rapid, on-site, mobile detection of bioterrorist agents and food-borne pathogenic microorganisms.
