Glucoamylase PUREMEI PG?is designed to ensure the following benefits for ethanol producers: 1.Non-genetic modfied strains that ensure safety 2.Increases fermentation rate 3.Increases ethanol yields 4.Efficient starch/dextrin degradation 5.Improved performance in pre-saccharification processes 6.Less residual starch in distiller's grains Description PUREMEI PG is made from non-genetic modified strains of Aspergillus Niger using submerged fermentation, extraction and refining techniques.?It has a high conversion rate of starchy substrates into fermentable sugars. It can hydrolyze alpha-D-1, 4 glucosidic bonds from the non-reducing end of starch one after.?It can also hydrolyze the alpha-D-1, 6 glucoside branch bonds of starch and cleaves the alpha-1, 3 bonds, releasing glucose. Product characteristics Declared enzyme: Glucoamylase Systematic name: EC 3.2.1.3, 1, 4-alpha-D-glucan glucohydrolase Appearance: Light to dark brown liquid Activity: 130, 000 U/ml (minimum) Product pH: 3.0 to 5.0 Optimal pH:3.5-4.5. Effect of pH Optimal pH range for?PUREMEI PG is 3.5-4.5. Effect of temperature The effective temperature range for?PUREMEI PG?is 30 to 65° C. The optimal temperature is 55 to 60° C. Usage guidelines PUREMEI PG is used to saccharify liquified mash from various sources including corn, milo, barley, wheat, rice, potatoes and tapioca. The resultant glucose product is fermented by yeast to yield ethanol. For ground-grain processing plants using simultaneous saccharification fermentation (SSF),?PUREMEI PG? may be added directly to the fermenter. For ground-grain dry mill plants and for wet mill plants using a separate pre-saccharification step prior to fermentation,?PUREMEI PG?may be added to the cooling mash or liquefied starch when the temperature reaches 55 to 60° C. A temperature above 65° C?can result in loss of activity. Dosage In general, PUREMEI PG is added at a level of 0.065 to 0.085%w/w (DSB). The actual dosage level is dependent on the raw materials, temperature, reaction time, pH?and saccharification/fermentation process at individual plant. Packing PUREMEI PG is packaged in?25kg, 30 kg HDPE drums or 1150 kg IBC totes. Customized packaging is available upon request. Storage PUREMEI PG has been manufactured for optimum stability. Typical shelf-life is?6 months provided it is stored below 25?ºC?in its original packaging, sealed?and unopened, protected from the sunlight. Its shelf-life will be 18 months if it is properly stored at 0~10 ºC.?Extended storage and/or adverse conditions such as higher temperatures or increased humidity may lead to a higher dosage requirement. Safety & Enzyme handling Inhalation of enzyme dust and mists should be avoided. In case of contact with the skin or eyes, promptly rinse with water for at least 15 minutes.
