Datron's PRC2150 is a single-channel version of Datron's PRC2100 Spectre V radio. It is a VHF/FM tactical manpack transceiver that provides complete VHF coverage over the 30 to 88 MHz frequency band. It can accommodate both 25 kHz and 12.5 kHz spacing, channel scanning, and simplex or semi-duplex operation. The PRC2150 can be set for a wide range of RF output levels up to 10W. It has a rechargeable NiMH battery pack to ensure extended-mission battery life. A self-calibrating BITE function allows automatic circuit alignment and fault notification to the user through the front panel display. The PRC2150's large graphic display is easily readable in direct sunlight and is scratch and impact resistant. The radio's "language independent" design allows menus to be programmed in the user's native language. A five-language package is standard with the radio, and other languages are available as options. The PRC2150 is fully compatible with all fixed-frequency VHF/FM equipment including Datron's PRC1077 and PRC1060 radios. It is also compatible with DWC's PRC2100V and PRC1080 in clear-channel operation.
