C2T Mosaic Adhesive is a high quality polymer modified cement- based 2 in 1 adhesive and grout for mosaic tiles. When added to water, it produces a smooth creamy paste for fixing mosaics as well as for filling tile joints. It fulfills the requirements of BS EN12004 Class C1 with slip resistance.
TYPICAL USAGE
1. C2T Mosaic Adhesive can be used internally or externally to bond and to fill joints of paper-faced mosaic tiles.
2. It can also be used on different substrates, including concrete, plaster, ceramic tile, and particleboard.
3. It is suitable for grouting the tile joints up to 6 mm wide. It is good for both wall and floor application.
4. It is water resistant and allows setting and grouting mosaic tiles in one process.
MATERIAL MIXING
1. C2T Mosaic Adhesive powder: Water = 3.3: 1 (25kg/bag for 7.5kg water).
2. Pour the clear water into the pot; Add into powder, then mixing it into even paste with electric mixer.
3. Mix again after the mixture is placed for several minutes for achieving better effect.
APPLICATION
1. Tiles must be dry before fixing.
2. Spread the C2T Mosaic Adhesive for about 2mm thick using a straight edge trowel onto the prepared substrate that can be tiled within the open time of the adhesive.
3. Butter the back of the paper faced mosaic sheet and ensure that all the joints are completely filled.
4. Then place the sheet onto the adhesive layer and bed it in with a flat wooden float.
5. The final adhesive should be about 3mm thick subject to the flatness of the substrate. The adhesive layer can be up to 10mm thick.
6. After the adhesive is set, wet the paper thoroughly and peel it off without disturbing the tile and grout.
