How to choose good quality cable chains? Chains' Standard

1.Suitable cable drag chain arrangement is to be made to take the power and control signals and PLC communication in a safe and reliable manner between the lower platform and the upper deck which is designed for slewing 180 degrees on either side.

2.The system shall be a proven one and shall be designed for a long trouble-free life with bare minimum maintenance. The design shall, further, ensure the location of power distribution and control equipment on the upper and lower decks in such a manner as to minimize number and capacity of the power and control cables between the lower and upper decks.

3.The cable drag chain system should be easily accessible for repair and maintenance.

4.Only Proven Designs/Models system will be considered.

5.Electrical cable drag chain system shall be suitable for rotary application. No roller coasters shall be used and no pass through at arrangements shall be there.

6.The cable drag chain shall be polymer based and suitable for cable chain application; and include all accessories, cross bars, clamps and fixtures to render the assembly complete.

7.Support structure: Support structure with polymer pads at bottom of chain for reducing the rotary motion wear resistance. All the materials and finished components like ties, stays and fasteners shall be included.

8.Highly flexible cables: All cables which are required including cable accessories like cable terminals and glands shall be suitable for the application.

9.Cable drag chain shall be heavy duty type in single unit design. The cable drag chain shall be trouble free, shall have require no lubrication, operate with less maintenance, employ modular design and polymer based links and accessories.

10.It shall have minimum bending radius required for this application.

11.Suitable anangement shall be specially made for better stability of the chain while in motion or stationary.

12.Suitable anangement shall be made to provide smooth interior and exterior surfaces to ensure trouble-fi·ee and maintenance-fi·ee operation.

13.The cable drag chain shall have a facility to replace the cables easily.

14.The cable drag chain shall be capable of working in dusty and humid envirorunent.

15.The supplier shall fumish the list of drawings of cable drag chain which will be submitted to clients for approval after placement of order.

16.The support structure and housing for the cable drag chain shall be adequately and suitably designed to support and ensure correct aligrnment during operation of the chain.
