The eBERT is a stand-alone test solution that enables system analysis by producing data at rates ranging from 1Gbps to 15Gbps and measuring the results, including eye diagrams and bit error rates. The eBERT offers similar functionality as high-end BERTs at a fraction of the cost. It is designed to have two differential transmitters and two differential receivers. Both transmitters can be programmed to individual data rates. The eBERT also has a differential clock output and a differential trigger output. The trigger output can be programmed to different divider ratios from either transmitter or can be set to any rate for custom clock requirements and ppm testing. The eBERT can generate PRBS7~31 patterns along with a 20-bit custom pattern generator capability. The output swing of each transmitter can be programmed from 100mVpp to 1200mVpp, allowing a very wide dynamic range for cross-talk testing. The front panel touch screen and rotary interface has been developed with customer ease of use in mind. The eBERT can be remotely controlled via USB using the provided eBERT GUI or any software such as Labview. And eBERT is a standard 19 inch chassis which enables customer easy to mounting into rack at manufacturing line.
