Overview:
The ACR92 PCMCIA Smart Card Reader is a specially designed smart card peripheral for notebook and portable computers. Compliant with PC/SC, FCC and ISO7816 specifications, and certified by EMV Level1, it is suitable for applications related to credit card payments and other banking services.
ACR92 is easy to install and use, and is capable of allowing future firmware and application upgrades. It establishes a uniform interface between a computer and a wide variety of smart cards. By taking care of card specifics, it allows software engineers to implement smart card-based systems without them having to fully comprehend all the technical details of the smart card/ computer interface.
