HFCOM2 is a user-friendly communications software package designed for reliable, error-free, high-speed data transfer over HF radio links. It can be used on any standard PC running a Windows environment and using DWC's 110A modems and 7000-series transceivers. It provides operator interface on equipment configuration and file transfer, and allows the user to set up radio and ALE parameters using its proprietary adaptive ARQ protocol. The software program automatically configures the modem properly upon initialization.
Its logging function keeps a record of all operations performed and provides the operator feedback about the success or failure of these operations. HFCOM2 also allows the user to schedule file transfer times and priority, as well as the number of retries.
