This instrument is used for measuring the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on metal .
It is easy handling , accurate and fast .
Fe type is capable of measuring the the thickness of non-magnetic coatings (e.g paint, porcelain, plastic,rubber,and chrome) on magnetic materials (e.g. Iron and steel).
NFe type is capable of measuring the the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on non-magnetic metals . E.g. Paint , enamel , plastic etc . Applied to aluminum , brass ,
FN type, combines two measuring probes in one meter , gauge recognize the substrate automatically . The symbol Fe indicates a magnetic substrate , NFe indicates a non-magnetic substrate .
Operation:
Battery : Install batteries of AAA , 1.5V x 2 , pay attention to the polarity .
Switch on : Press the probe, gauge switched on automatically , and it goes off after 30seconds of inactivity .
Measurement :place the probe against the surface steady till the measurement displayed on the screen. An effective measurement is accompanied by a "beep". The symbol "OVER" indicates it is over the specified measuring range .
