Installation of electric underfloor heating under tiles

Laying the insulation

(1)    The insulation for under tiles always comes in the form insulation board. This board needs to fixed to a clean subfloor with a suitable flexible tile adhesive.  The normal method of applying tiles adhesive is to use a trowel with ridges to get a flat surface.

(2)    Once all the insulation has been fixed then perform a full electrical test on all the electric underfloor heating mats.

(3)    Next is to roll out and fix the electric under floor matting onto the floor according to your floor plan.  Make sure you always buy from a company that will provide a full floor plan to avoid any problems. Rayotec provides free floor plans with all purchases.

(4)    Fully test all the mats again.

(5)    Install your thermostat.

(6)    Lay your tiles/stone floor onto using a flexible tile adhesive.
