Holmium (Ho) is of atomic number 67 and atomic weight of 164.93032. Ho is a member of the rare earth element family.
Holmium has a silvery white metal. It texture is flexible and ductile. Melting point of holmium is 1474 degree centigrade and its boiling point is 2695 degree centigrade. Its density is 8.7947 g/cm3.
Holmium is mainly used:
1. As am additive in metallic Halogen lump;
2. As an additive in Yt-Fe and Ye-Al alloys;
3. As a mixture in Ye-Al garnet;
4. In magnet retractile alloys; 5) in Holmium containing optic fiber.
