LECA (Light Weight Expanded Clay Aggregate) is an aggregate made of expanded clay at average 1200 in rotary kiln, the Yielding gases are expanded by thousands of small bubbles as long as this temperature and porosity will appear by many voids and honeycombs at these round shape aggregates when melted materials become cold. LECA is a manufactured aggregate which has many advantages compare with natural lightweight aggregate and since 1917 has used under different brand name in USA and Europe countries.
Sizes: 2-8mm, 5-20mm, 5-30mm, 10-15mm, 15-30mm etc.

Screening to achieve a certain granularity, raw materials are sent into the ball mill grinding chamber. The ball mill cavity equipped with 90 tons of steel balls, can grind shale powder to 10 mesh. Continuous impact force act on a mixture of shale and clay to reduce water content low to 10%.
LECA(ceramsite) production process:
Shale production process is as follows: mining - primary broken - second crushing - screening - temporary storage- Feeding - sintering - finished grading screening - piled up - transportation (bagging).
