What are Kolortek pearl pigments?

The characteristic Kolortek pearl pigments has been designed to match the unique luster of natural pearl. The basic structure is a platelet of natural or synthetic mica which is coated with a metal oxide. Kolortek offers titanium dioxide and iron oxide coated pearlescent pigments.

Resulting from reflected, refracted and transmitted light patterns developed at the multiple interfaces between the layers, Kolortek's pearl pigments provide unsurpassed performance in brightness and colour play from white to chameleon effects.

Except the particular condition, the appending rate of the pearlescent pigment in all kinds of plastics is 0.5-1.5%. The common plastic cloth and the thicker products can use less accession; but the thinner products must increase the accession in order to increase the pearlescent effect; when the appending reagent is excessive, will reduce the pearlescent effect.
