Aluminum wool is a nonmagnetic material widely used by aircraft and marine industry. It's the first choice to finish and polish aluminum sheet, to remove welding scar on aluminum surface.
Weight of aluminum wool is only one third of steel wool. They both regarded excellent and reliable helpers in sanding, polishing, finish and preparation. Moreover, aluminum wool owns better corrosion resistance than steel wool and better burn-resistance than copper wool. Those excellent properties make them ideal additives for refractory reinforcing and heat conducting, filter material in high temperature.
With excellent plasticity and extensibility under pressure, aluminum wool could be rolled to porous material at room temperature for a variety range of sizes and densities to meet your specific applications.
Same as other metal wool, aluminum wool is also widely used in heat insulation, sound attenuation, shock absorption, electromagnetic wave resistance.
