DY-Series Yttrium-based Heavy Rare-earth Nodulizer
Used in Ultra Heavy Section Iron Castings
I. Characteristics of the product and Application Range
Compared with the like products of light rare-earth, this product possesses the characteristics as follows: it possesses the capacity of anti-declining, anti-distortion of graphite, anti-interferential elements, without worry about nodularization degeneration, the properties of castings are exactly the same as supposed to be, it can be applied as raw material in a wide range and there is no resulfurization, it can reduce and diffuse phosphor eutectic, etc. At present, it is an ideal nodulizer to solve the difficult international casting problem caused by declining: the quality of heavy section castings is not high, especially the quality of bulk component is not high and unstable, and low yield. The product is applied to the production of superheavy-section castings. The treatment process is basically the same as that of light rare-earth nodulizer. It's suitable for iron liquid of the temperature of 1400ºc -1550ºc, and ordinarily  pour-over nodularization, the adding amount is 1.0-1.8% (it depend on the content of impurity in the liquid iron ), after the nodulizer being packaged, cover it with ferrosilicon or iron fillings, iron plate above, there is no need to take special desulphurization and cooling measures. After the ball reaction, there is no phenomenon of ball recession, and nodularization rate is higher than 80%, and the roundness degree of graphite is fine.

2.Physical State
The section of the products should be silver and gray; Product grain size range is 5-30mm, the products whose grain size is smaller than 5mm and larger than 30mm won't exceed 5% of the total amount;
If the demanding party has special demands on chemical composition and product grain size, we can consult separately.
