Introduction of Belt Conveyor
Belt conveyor is widely used in mining, metallurgy, coal industry and so on. It is used to transport loose or batches of materials. According to the requirements of transporting process, it can work alone or form a horizontal or inclined transporting system with other transporting equipments so as to meet needs of different operating lines.
Structure of Belt Conveyor
Conveyor belt is mainly comprised of frame, conveying belt, rollers, tension devices, gears and other components. There are various types of belt conveyors. According to different kinds of belts, it can be divided into ordinary belt conveyor, steel-cord belt conveyor, and special belt conveyor. According to the connection between conveyor frame and base, it can be divided into fixed belt conveyor, and portable belt conveyor. According to supporting device's structure, it can be divided into roller supported belt conveyor, flat plate supported belt conveyor, air cushion supported belt conveyor. According to roller's different groove angles, it can be divided into ordinary groove angle belt conveyor, and deep groove angle belt conveyor. According to the quantity of drive rollers, it can be divided into single drive belt conveyor, double drive belt conveyor and multi drive belt conveyor.
Advantages of Belt Conveyor
Belt conveyor has many advantages such as large conveying capacity, simple structure, easy maintenance, standardized components, etc. It is suitable for conveying low-abrasive powdered, granular, small block materials and sacked materials with bulk density less than 1.67 t /m³ , such as coal, gravel, sand, cement, fertilizer, food and so on. Material temperature must be less than 60degrees Celsius. Belt conveyor's length and installation can be determined according to customers' requirements.
