Characters of Clay insulating brick
Clay insulating brick's Al2O3 content is more than 40% Fe2O3 content is less than2.0~2.5%. It is weak acid at high temperature. Light clay insulating brick has high porosity and low bulk density, low thermal conductivity. Generally speaking, the volume density for insulation brick between 0.4-1.5 g/cm3, porosity is from 66% to 73%, compressive strength is 1.5-8.1 MPa and thermal conductivity rate is 0.291-0.582 W / (Mk) (350 ºC ).
Applications of Clay insulating brick
Clay Insulating refractory brick is used in high temperature insulation layer of furnace that has high refractoriness and good thermal shock resistance.
Clay insulating brick is widely used in lining and insulation layer in all kinds of kilns of metallurgy, machinery, ceramics, chemical industry, etc. It is the ideal energy saving product. It can reduce about twice the weight of the furnace compared with using the heavy bricks. It'd very cost savings to build kilns when reaching the same temperature and effect.
Clay insulating refractory Brick is used in high temperature insulation layer of furnace that has high refractoriness and good thermal shock resistance. It can reduce the radiation loss of the kiln, save energy and reduce the weight of the hot working equipment. The insulation brick is not suitable for using in the bearing structure of the kiln and also it is not suitable to contact slag, furnace charge, molten metal and other parts.
