Product Description
Flame-retardant mechanism
1: Decomposition of magnesium hydroxide absorb heat, which is beneficial to reduce the flame combustion temperature.
2: The decomposition of magnesium hydroxide create water, it's not only the coolant, also reduce the smoke density as thinner.
3: The decomposition of magnesium hydroxide created MgO, which specific surface is quite big, easy absorb smoke, and cover the combustible material.
The HFFR aluminum composite panel produced by our magnesium hydroxide meets UL94-V-0,
UBC 26-9, BS 476, DIN 4102 Class B1, and ASTM E 119.
And MDH (Magnesium Hydroxide) price is more competitive than ATH(Aluminum Hydroxide) price.
Reduce the ACP cost a lot, and MDH is better than ATH in the following point:
1: MDH and ATH are similar when heated, both create water and metal oxide. Water absorbs heat, and metal oxide covers the surface. But MgO absorb more acid.
2: MDH degrade temperature is 330 centigrade higher 100centigrade than ATH, So MDH is better for plastics with high temperature.
3: MDH dissociation energy is 1.37kJ/g, ATH dissociation energy is 1.17KJ/g, and thermal capacity higher 17% also, so MDH have higher flame retardant efficiency.
4: MDH with more carbonization, reduce more smoke.
5: MDH particle is soft than ATH, so less abration during compounding process, it's good for compounding machine.
